PRICES
All published rates include VAT or local service charges at the current rate. The Buttermere Court Hotel reserves the right to alter prices for any reason up to 12 weeks prior to arrival. Up to this date, prices may only be altered to reflect a change in the rate of VAT or local service charge and taxes or for any other reason outside of the control of the hotel, in which case the changes will be notified to the Client. In the latter event, the Client may cancel the booking without cost.
BOOKINGS
Bookings must be guaranteed by a major credit or debit card, or via a travel agent or hotel booking agency. We are unable to hold rooms without a confirmed booking and card guarantee. The Buttermere Court Hotel considers a group booking to be 3 or more rooms (or any reservation exceeding six nights in duration) in the same booking. To these bookings, a 25% Non-Refundable deposit is required upon making the reservation.
Group reservations can be moved to an alternative date free of charge up to 3 weeks prior to the check-in date.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Bedrooms are usually available for check in from 2:00pm until 10:00pm local time on the day of arrival. The Lake View Apartment check in time is from 3:00pm. Check out is by 11:00am local time. There may be occasions, at times of high demand, when our Clients can check in and use all the hotel facilities, but the bedroom is still being prepared.
CANCELLATIONS, AMENDMENTS AND NON-ARRIVALS
If you need to cancel or amend a booking made online via another website, please contact the channel provider. Failure to cancel (with travel providers such as Booking.com) 48 hours prior to arrival will result in full payment of the first night’s accommodation. You may also be charged for the further nights accommodation should you fail to notify the hotel following this 48 hour notice period.

PAYMENT
Settlement of the bill in full, less any advance payments must be made upon arrival at the hotel.
All sums are due for payment on presentation of the invoice.
Any damages to the room or communal areas will be charged on check-out or after departure using the card information provided.
SMOKING
The Buttermere Court Hotel operate a NO SMOKING policy. Smoking is prohibited in all areas. Please do not smoke in your room as it will have to be deep cleaned after your stay and the cost of £200 will have to be passed onto you. If we have to hold the room off for more than 24 hours an additional fine may occur. We also operate a strict no drugs policy.
The use of candles are also strictly forbidden.
For the health and safety of other residents, team and public, any guests found smoking, harbouring drugs or lighting candles could be asked to leave the premises without a refund.
CHILDREN
Additonal persons over 7 years of age will incur a £10 charge which is inclusive of a full hot and continental breakfast. Please note that we do not provide any infant equipment such as cots or bottles. We do however have a new baby changing unit and highchairs available in the restaurant.
DOGS
Dogs are not permitted to stay in the hotel unattended. A dog charge of £14 per dog, per night (up to a maximum charge of £28 for the total stay) applies and will be added to your bill if you turn up with your furry friend. Please note that dogs are welcome in all areas of the hotel, except the breakfast room and select bedrooms. Book your dog in as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Failure to notify us could lead to additional charges and could result in having to find alternative accommodation. Maximum of 2 dogs to any room.
